About the Job
Work as a communicator at Linköping University, LiU, is both operational and strategic in nature, ranging from developing communication plans and audience analyses to evaluating completed assignments. A key focus of the role is to produce and publish content on digital platforms, such as social media and websites, both internally and externally. Content production includes photography, video filming, video editing, graphic design, and web presentation solutions. You are also a skilled writer who easily transitions between different forms of writing assignments, such as engaging copy, informational texts, and research news. You and your fellow communicators are important support to researchers and other employees. The assignment requires strong collaboration skills.
About You
As a person, you are communicative and social with an ability to create participation and engagement. You have good customer service skills, work well in collaboration, and can adapt to changing circumstances. We appreciate that you are independent, confident in your competence, and take responsibility for your tasks in a structured manner while enjoying working in a team. You take initiative, plan, organize, and prioritize work on your own or with others, depending on the assignment.
You must have:
- Academic degree in media and communication science or equivalent experience that we consider equivalent
- Several years of experience in the communication profession, preferably in technical research communication
- Strong ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English
- Very good experience with digital environments such as social media and the web
- Good knowledge of photography, video, copy, and graphic design
- Basic knowledge of legislation and guidelines related to web and communication activities
It is advantageous if you have experience with our CMS Sharepoint and Sitecore. It is equally advantageous if you have education in technical subjects. In the selection process, great consideration is given to the specific needs and wishes of the current operations.
Your Workplace
You will be employed at the Communications and Marketing Department at LiU and have your primary placement at the Department of Computer Science (IDA). In addition to your work assignments at your placement location, you also participate in department-wide activities.
