Do you thrive when ideas get space and communication is used to create real value? With us, you'll work close to the municipality's operations and contribute with communication that makes a difference in change, development, and daily work.
The Communications Unit is in an exciting period of development. We want to shift our working methods from a main focus on production to an even greater extent being an operations-focused communication function. Together, we help the municipality's operations reach their goals and create greater value and impact for those we exist to serve.
Work Tasks
As a Communications Officer, you work in an advisory, strategic, and operational capacity with planned communication. You work close to the operations, understand their needs, and help them use communication as a tool to succeed with change, development, and implementation.
The assignment includes, among other things:
advising and coaching managers and employees on communication matters
planning communication based on goals, decisions, change work, and operational value
developing messages and adapting communication to different target groups' needs
contributing to strategic communication, change communication, and internal communication work
producing and publishing content in our digital channels
following up on communication efforts and using results to improve future work
contributing to developing our working methods for digital production, publishing, and channel strategy
Coaching and social media are specialist competencies we're particularly seeking, but other specialist skills can also complement the team. Expertise in video, photography, or design is valuable as we want to strengthen the team in these areas.
In everything you do, you focus on quality, user experience, and accessibility. The role encompasses both strategic vision and practical implementation, from sorting out complex communication needs to creating content that works in the right channel and for the right target group.
We're looking for someone who can switch between listening, guiding, thinking strategically, and putting ideas into practice. You build trusting relationships, understand the needs of different operations and target groups, and make complex matters understandable. You work in a structured way, take responsibility for driving assignments forward, and follow up on the results of your work. At the same time, you contribute with curiosity, creativity, and ideas that develop both the communication and our shared working methods.
We want you as an employee with us to feel good, both at and outside of work. Therefore, you have access to, among other things, wellness benefits, free swimming, and discounts on massage. Read more about our benefits: https://vetlanda.se/formaner
We believe in a workplace where differences are a strength and where we always meet each other with joy and respect.
