As Municipal Director, you will lead an organization with high competence and great heart. About the Role As Municipal Director, you have overall responsibility for leading, developing, and coordinating the municipality's operations. You are responsible for the administrative organization and are a central actor in implementing political decisions and direction. The role entails overall responsibility where you drive strategic issues, ensure an organization with efficient processes and methods by creating good conditions for collaboration within the municipal group. You lead the organization through your direct reporting managers and have a key role in creating direction, structure, and implementation capacity. The assignment also includes driving change and development work and representing the municipality in regional, national, and external contexts. Who Are You? We are looking for someone with academic education and experience in strategic leadership at a high level within public or municipal operations. You have experience driving organization-wide development work and are accustomed to working with a group-wide perspective where collaboration is central. To be successful in the role, you need experience leading other managers. You also have good understanding of the conditions for politically managed organizations and well-developed knowledge of the business sector's conditions and needs. It is meritorious if you have experience with collaboration with trade unions and experience with media contacts. We also view positively your ability to build and develop trustful relationships with both internal and external partners. We are looking for a strategic and confident leader who combines strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate goals into results. You create engagement through clear and trust-based leadership, build trustful relationships, and collaborate successfully with different stakeholders. With good structure, implementation capacity, and a results focus, you drive development and ensure that strategies become reality. Employment with us may involve placement in a security class.
