Varabygdens Parish is a large rural parish, and through its membership in the Church of Sweden in the Skara Diocese, it is part of the larger worldwide Christian church. Our mission is to speak clearly about Jesus in both word and deed: "The world needs your love flowing through us" (Swedish Psalm 96).
We believe in the power of diversity – when people with different backgrounds, skills, and perspectives come together, we create a stronger whole.
Regardless of knowledge or role, you are equally valued and contribute to our collective success.
Now you have the opportunity to work as an assistant minister in Varabygdens Parish.
Here you will have the chance to let your voice and presence be a living and sustaining force in our church, in services, church ceremonies, and in meeting with people in our parish.
About the position:

You find it easy to meet both young people and their guardians, and you want to give confirmation time content, community, and memories that carry forward through life. You also see the value of children and young people's participation in church life and want to help create safe and welcoming contexts where they can discover and deepen their faith.
We are looking for someone who:

- builds relationships with young people through openness, curiosity, and respect
- sees the value in creating meeting places where young people can explore questions about faith, life, and identity
- wants to inspire and mentor young leaders and contribute to their development and engagement in the parish
- values collaboration and actively contributes to a positive and creative work environment
- is resourceful, flexible, and solution-oriented in a daily routine characterized by both planning and spontaneous meetings
- has the ability to involve children and young people in church life and create safe contexts where they feel welcome
- wants to help develop a church where tradition and innovation work together to reach new generations
We offer:
- a stimulating work environment with engaged and experienced colleagues
- the opportunity to influence and develop confirmation and youth programs
- work in an organization that invests in regular professional development
- collective agreement and benefits according to current agreements such as insurance, wellness programs, health examinations, etc.
