Associate Minister 100% Position at Luleå Cathedral Parish Description Luleå Cathedral Parish is seeking a full-time associate minister for Mjölkudden, North District. The position involves work as a parish priest in daily operations – conducting services, pastoral conversations, baptisms, funerals, and other activities associated with an active congregation. We would welcome your own ideas about how the work can be developed, and we value people who enjoy working both independently and collaboratively with others. Luleå is located on the coast of the Bay of Bothnia and offers both riverside nature and a growing city life. Commuting distances are short here, and there are excellent opportunities for outdoor activities, from skiing to swimming under the midnight sun. Job Responsibilities As an associate minister, you will be part of a work team alongside priests, deacons, musicians, and parish educators. You may be assigned to serve throughout the entire parish. The position includes: Planning and leading worship services and church ceremonies Pastoral care and conversations Devotion services at care and residential facilities Work with youth and confirmation students Supervision of church wardens Close collaboration with colleagues throughout the parish The parish actively works with the Rainbow Key and diversity and inclusion efforts are a natural part of this position. Qualifications You are ordained as a priest in the Church of Sweden or are eligible to serve as a priest in the Church of Sweden. We are looking for someone who: Has strong social skills and ability to collaborate Wants to contribute to a positive work environment Has an open approach to human diversity – regarding ethnicity, functional variation, age, and sexual orientation Is prepared to collaborate with colleagues within the church's ordained ministry, regardless of gender Holds a driver's license and preferably has access to a car You are a good representative for Luleå Cathedral Parish and have a genuine interest in people and parish life.
