The State Police College (Registration No. 90000072027) invites you to join our team Police Law Department Chair (Occupation classifier code – 1345 14) (Officer with special service rank, full-time position, indefinite duration) Job responsibilities include: - Planning, organizing, directing, and overseeing the work of the College Department in accordance with external and internal regulatory requirements; - Overseeing the creation, placement, and maintenance of educational programs, study courses, and subject matter content in the Educational Process Management System (IPAS) and e-learning environment; - Collecting and evaluating information regarding study and teaching process execution issues, providing recommendations to the College leadership on ensuring and improving the study process; - Ensuring the development and updating of educational programs, professional development programs, and adult non-formal education programs, as well as ensuring their coordination and approval in accordance with the procedures established in regulatory acts; - Ensuring the development and updating of study course descriptions and subject matter program descriptions; - Developing the content and requirements for ongoing and final examinations of study courses and subjects, as well as providing recommendations within the Department's competence regarding the requirements and content of qualification exams and state examinations; - Overseeing the progress of approved scientific or practical research in the Department, monitoring the conduct and completion of research within established deadlines; - Ensuring the use of pedagogical teaching methods that meet the College's educational program requirements, providing recommendations for improving pedagogical teaching methods; - Drafting job descriptions for Department pedagogues and employees and overseeing the quality execution of job and work duties specified therein; - Developing, submitting for approval, and coordinating the Department's employee work schedule and service hours records, service hours and work time accounting tables, etc. Education and professional experience required for the position: Academic or second-level professional higher education in the following thematic areas – Legal Science, Civil and Military Protection, Teacher Education and Educational Sciences; Social and Human Sciences, Business and Administration, Social Welfare, Architecture and Construction; Professional experience in institutions of the Ministry of Interior system – no less than five years, and experience in a management position – no less than two years; Understanding of professional ethics, conduct, and service procedures issues for police officers; Good skills in data processing, understanding of software-related issues, information processing programs (MS Office, Open Office, document management system NAMEJS, etc.), and operations in the online environment; Understanding of personnel management, competency-based service (work) organization, supervision and oversight skills; We offer: Stable and interesting work at a state institution on a full-time basis (40 hours per week); Monthly salary from EUR 2290,- to EUR 2530,- (gross), depending on qualifications; Special allowances of EUR 300,- per month for the performance of specific functions and duties; Allowance for special service rank; Social guarantees; Opportunity to develop and expand professional knowledge; Work location in Riga, Ezermalas Street 10, LV – 1014.
