Are you a driven chef or simply very interested in cooking, preferably home-style cooking or similar? Maybe you've even considered opening your own place. We can offer you that. Here's your chance to work in a kitchen as if it were your own, but with employment and a monthly salary. In Murjek, 6 miles from Jokkmokk, sits the heritage farm that is the heart of the village. This is where things happen! Not only village residents come here, but also those willing to travel some distance, tourists, and workers to enjoy a homemade good lunch and share in social connection. The heritage farm also houses a hostel, work museum, and library. Many volunteers here run watercolor courses, weekend cafés, cultural weekends with music, grill evenings, and much more. In winter there's the opportunity for skiing on an illuminated ski trail and wonderful trips out on the moors along the snowmobile tracks. There are many fishing lakes here and Muddus National Park just 50 minutes away with beautiful hiking trails. A lot will be happening here as both the railway and a new power line are being developed. What we need. A chef or person with knowledge and training in Food Hygiene (HACCP) who enjoys cooking home-style food. Collective agreement applies. Work hours Monday – Friday 07:15-15:15. Employment preferably begins in October or after that. We have a 6-month probationary period. Housing in the village is available.
