Fjällhalsen Fik & Butik with restaurant is a small family business located in a scenic, cozy environment within the ski system at Bydalsfjällen. (NOTE: 10 mil from Åre.) We are looking for a chef or cold station cook to join our team. Perhaps you are a couple/friends who want to work together in the mountains? (We are also seeking staff for serving/cashier.) We offer hourly employment (alternatively monthly salary depending on your background/ideas/preferences) in a cozy mountain environment at a small family business where we work to ensure everyone enjoys coming to work. You have a fine touch for food and flavors, good organizational skills, and pace. You enjoy working, pitch in where needed, and bring that extra something that makes the workday fun. Order and attention to detail, both in the work itself and with cleaning and hygiene, are essential to you. The tasks vary, but you mainly work with morning prep and the lunch rush, serving our selection from the refrigerated display with sandwiches and homemade pastries, plus the occasional evening shift. Experience/interest in baking is an advantage. During high season you should be prepared for heavy workload, while the second half of January offers more time for skiing, mountain hikes, and nature experiences. An interest and feel for good food prepared from scratch, enjoying working in a group, and being easy to collaborate with are things we value highly. We open December 19. Start then or by agreement. The position runs through Easter, but with the possibility of continued work if you are the right person. Accommodation can possibly be arranged.
