We are currently seeking several chefs for placement within food and service in our internal chef pool. The Service Department is Falun Municipality's provider of internal services and support services according to an FM concept, facility supply and management of most of the municipality's properties. The assignment is to support the municipality's various operations by providing appropriate and functional facilities, tasty and nutritious meals, vehicles and transportation services among other support services. Falun Municipality is regionally the leading public employer in developing FM services and support based on BIM. This development takes place in both construction and facility management. Eating habits and attitudes toward food are often established at a young age. Good and nutritious food provides excellent conditions for development and a healthy and active life. Quality meals are important for increasing children's and young people's opportunities for learning and benefiting from educational activities. This means that our services often consist of not only kitchen work but also facility care, as we work in an integrated manner within food and service. Job Responsibilities As an employee in our pool, you staff food and facility care according to need. You work from your residence and receive your daily bookings from our scheduling planners who distribute the day's work shifts. Work is carried out in both reception and preparation kitchens and includes tasks such as preparing breakfast and snacks, receiving cold and hot meals, preparing lunch, cleaning, dishwashing, and documentation of self-checks according to HACCP. When needed, multiple different placements may be relevant during the same day. Facility care assignments are also part of the position. The role typically involves working independently. An employment in our internal pool is a gateway into our operations that gives you extensive knowledge of our organization while providing opportunities to build your own networks. The employment can later lead to a permanent placement. Qualifications The role requires: Education in large-scale kitchens/restaurants or professional experience that the employer considers equivalent Basic IT skills are required to handle our ordering systems, email, smartphone and personnel systems as well as communicate via email with your manager and colleagues. A driver's license and access to your own car are required. The area is geographically large and workplaces vary from day to day. Since part of the work involves being able to work according to a job description and independently provide written and/or verbal documentation, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required, both spoken and written. Personal Qualities: You need to be flexible, quickly able to shift focus during the day, reprioritize when needed, solve problems that arise, and be stress-resistant. We also see that you can work independently, drive assignments and take responsibility on your own, as well as be able to collaborate with colleagues and others you meet.
