The Swedish Prison and Probation Service, SiS, is a government agency responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. Job Description
As a cook, you are responsible together with your colleague for planning and preparing all meals at the institution for young people and staff. All food handled at the institution is ordered and provided by the kitchen. Your main task as a cook is to prepare food with good taste, quality and nutritional content and ensure good food hygiene. You will also work with administrative tasks such as self-inspection, orders, invoicing and nutritional data management and other common large kitchen duties such as receiving deliveries, serving, dishwashing and cleaning. Together with your colleague, you will have the opportunity to participate in meal discussions with youth groups, where the aim is to capture wishes, feedback, ideas and provide opportunities for client perspective and participation.
Working hours are daytime Monday to Friday.
Since the institution has two units, one in Kalix, travel between units may occur.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in cooking and customer satisfaction. The tasks require your ability to collaborate with others, while you also need to take responsibility for, plan and carry out your meals independently. We would appreciate you having innovative thinking and wanting to contribute new ideas and suggestions to the institution's large kitchen to create the best meal experience for young people and staff. Great importance will be placed on professional skill.
You should also have:
Secondary education in hotel and restaurant or other education/experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
Experience in large kitchen and/or restaurant cooking.
Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
Basic computer skills.

Employment:
The position is a permanent employment at 50-80% and begins with a six-month trial period. Start date by agreement.
