Welcome to the Department of Labor Market and Education at Boden Municipality! With us, there is a collective responsibility for integration, labor market, education, and employment issues affecting our municipality's residents. The department also oversees the School of Arts, food services, and central student health services. Within our food service operations, we prepare and serve meals to preschools, schools, nursing homes, and home care services in Boden Municipality. Currently, we have approximately 75 employees. WORK TASKS
Your main task is to prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks for 4 departments. Lunch is delivered hot, except for rice, pasta, and potatoes which are prepared on site. During school breaks, lunch may be prepared on site. We collaborate within the operation, so you may work in another kitchen when needed. We hold workplace meetings where we share experiences, develop operations, and work together on the work environment. The role includes routines for kitchen self-monitoring based on HACCP, portion statistics, web-based ordering of food and kitchen supplies.
Scheduled working hours, full-time day shifts.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a trained cook or have other education combined with kitchen experience that the employer considers equivalent. You have basic IT skills to handle orders, smartphone, personnel systems, and communication via email, as well as good ability to orally and in writing hand over and receive documentation in Swedish and to work according to written procedures. Merits include upper secondary school Restaurant and Food Program, knowledge of special diets, training or experience in facility maintenance, B driver's license.
