We are seeking a part-time cook at 75% for our kitchen at Mycklingskolan, Själevad. The position is ongoing with daytime work, Monday through Friday with weekends off. Planned start date is January 2, 2027 or by mutual agreement on another date.
Job Responsibilities
As a cook, you will work together with two other cooks on meal preparation, special diets, salads, line service, inventory management, dishwashing, laundry, and cleaning according to a rotating schedule. The responsibilities also include administrative tasks such as recipe management and ordering via web and/or in food management software.
We work with self-inspection procedures with clear work instructions, routines, and checklists. Our approach of covering for each other in the kitchens means that all staff should be able to work in all positions, including in our other kitchens. As an employee, you will be part of a work team with the kitchen unit manager as your direct supervisor.
Qualifications
We would appreciate if you have knowledge and previous experience in food preparation and special diets in large-scale kitchens or restaurants, preferably with formal cook training.
You should be interested in working with food and people, be committed, responsible, flexible, and able to work independently even during high-pressure periods.
The position requires strong knowledge of the Swedish language in speech, writing, and comprehension to ensure work safety and communication with colleagues, diners, suppliers, and others.

The Consulting and Service Administration provides support and service to the administrations within our areas of facilities, operations and service, food services, IT, and administrative support services.
During the interview process, we will conduct an identity verification and check citizenship.
