About the Workplace MatOmsorg, the Care and Services Administration's meal organization, delivers food and meals to our operations—365 days a year! We are 50 people working at four kitchens, an office, and the city's care facilities. We work toward the goal of offering meals that improve quality of life and add a golden touch to our customers' everyday lives. Job Responsibilities You'll be part of a work team consisting of, among others, chefs, meal developers, and meal service staff who together deliver approximately 2700 meals per day. Work in the kitchen is led by the kitchen manager, and your tasks can vary between large-scale cooking, special diets, or texture-modified meals. In addition, you'll handle all other types of kitchen work, such as packing, portioning, cleaning, and dishwashing. Every other weekend, you'll be responsible for coordinating kitchen operations. This involves planning and delegating tasks, ensuring routines are followed, and supporting colleagues during the shift. The supervisory responsibility is limited to weekend service and is combined with regular production duties on other workdays. Qualifications You should be a trained chef with broad knowledge and ideally several years of experience from both the private and public sectors. Since the green transition is a focus area, we want you to have an interest in the connection between food, climate, and food products. You need good communication skills in speech and writing, basic IT skills, and experience working with texture-modified meals and special diets. For the position with responsibility for daily cash handling, you need strong IT skills and broad expertise in texture-modified meals and special diets. For the supervisory role, experience in management is required. It's an advantage if you have knowledge of meal planning software systems like Mashie or equivalent, and good knowledge of self-inspection and HACCP.
