Cook for Västra Klagstorps Montessoriförskola
We are seeking an engaged, independent, and creative cook who wants to become an important part of our preschool and contribute to food enjoyment every day.
Västra Klagstorps Montessoriförskola is located in southern Malmö, with proximity to both the city and green spaces. We are a small preschool with a warm, familial, and personal atmosphere. Here you will find short decision-making paths, close collaboration, and great commitment to our work. We work based on Montessori pedagogy, where children's independence, curiosity, and respect for people and the environment are important components. This should also be evident in our meals.
About the position
You will independently manage our kitchen and prepare approximately 70 portions daily for children and staff.
You are responsible for the entire meal chain, from menu planning and ordering to preparation, special diets, food safety checks, and monitoring of food waste.
You work economically and sustainably with ingredients and plan meals based on quality, nutrition, variety, and the organization's budget. We want meals to be prepared from scratch as much as possible and for meals to spark curiosity and food enjoyment in the children.
We are looking for someone who
You must have relevant training for working in a preparation kitchen and experience working independently in a kitchen.
You must also have experience with:
special diets and allergy management
food safety checks and food hygiene
menu planning
purchasing and ordering
economic and sustainable ingredient thinking
work to reduce food waste
Experience from preschool, school, or other large-scale kitchens is a merit. As a person, you are responsible, organized, solution-oriented, and creative. You have a genuine interest in food and meals and enjoy developing new recipes and introducing new flavors.
