Östers preschool is centrally located with both bus and train connections, which creates good transportation options to and from work. The preschool consists of 4 units: Ängen, Blomman, Trädet, and Fågeln. Blomman and Ängen serve our youngest children ages 1-3 and Trädet and Fågeln serve children ages 3-5. Östers preschool has its own kitchen for meal preparation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a chef at the preschool, I create nutritious, sustainable, and delightful meals that contribute to children's sense of security, development, and enjoyment of food. By working closely with educators and following the municipality's guidelines for preschool meals, I ensure that each child receives healthy and varied food prepared with care, quality, and a strong commitment to both environment and health.
Your responsibilities include:
• Preparing nutritious meals from scratch with a sustainable perspective.
• Planning menus and managing purchases cost-effectively with organic and climate-smart products.
• Washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen, as well as ensuring that hygiene routines are followed in the cooking kitchen.
• Working independently in the kitchen and collaborating with children and educators.
• Being part of the work team and participating in workplace meetings and network meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
In the role as chef, you should have:
• Education that can be assessed as equivalent to a restaurant program at upper secondary school with a focus on chef, minimum 1200p.
• Knowledge and experience from preschool/school kitchens with planning, purchasing, and preparing meals from scratch. This includes, for example, nutritional content, allergen-free diets, vegetarian options, and cost-effective and sustainable approaches considering the environment.
• Experience with computers as ordering and receipt of goods occur digitally.
• You should be able to read, understand, and communicate in Swedish to, for example, understand work safety information, cleaning routines, instructions, safety regulations, product descriptions, and more.
It is a merit if you have completed Anticimex Basic Food Hygiene Training.

• You are creative and innovative, you have an easy time finding new perspectives and solutions to problems. You also seek opportunities to improve the organization and take initiative for change.
• You have the ability to plan and organize your work well in the kitchen. You have an easy time setting goals, organizing resources, and following up and completing activities.
• You see what needs to be prioritized, are efficient, and use resources to achieve the best results.
As a final candidate in the recruitment process, it is a requirement that you provide a criminal record excerpt for work within the school system.
