We are opening a new restaurant on the pedestrian street in central Malmö. The concept is hearty Swedish home cooking and a thoughtful beer selection — beef stew, fried pork, herring, cabbage rolls. Simple food prepared properly, in a restaurant where both regulars and passersby will feel welcome. We are now looking for a chef who masters the craft behind the classics. About the role You will work in a small kitchen together with our head chef and will be part of it from the beginning — from tastings and menu development. What we're looking for You have genuine knowledge of Swedish home cooking — brown sauce from scratch, pickled dishes, stews, root vegetables, potatoes You have worked in restaurant, lunch, or institutional kitchens where traditional Swedish food is prepared daily You are experienced in batch food preparation and know how to maintain consistent quality You have knowledge of self-inspection and food hygiene You are comfortable working at a fast pace and keep your cool on a Friday night You speak Swedish Merits Experience with curing, smoking, pickling, and other traditional methods Experience opening a new restaurant Interest in beer and how food and drink pair together What we offer A new kitchen where you help shape the food from day one Central location with good foot traffic Salary based on experience Collective agreement and organized working conditions How to apply Send your CV and a few lines about yourself to [email protected] Tell us about the home cooking dish you are most proud of.
