Sexton/Churchyard Caretaker, 100%. for Fardhem-Garde Pastorat. We are a team of 4 sextons working across 10 churchyards and in 10 churches, parish halls, and parsonages. The work primarily involves general grounds maintenance: grass cutting, weeding, hedge trimming, etc. The work uses both larger and smaller machinery/equipment, and daily maintenance of these is included in the job duties. Additionally, the position includes interior duties, i.e., assisting with various services and ceremonies in the churches, working every other weekend. The work is primarily scheduled on weekdays, but weekend service is also included according to the schedule. You will mainly work with one sexton, but are part of the team with all four sextons and are expected to be able to work both independently and in a group. We see that you are practically minded, enjoy working with your hands and spending time outdoors. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, ability to cooperate, and good conduct toward both colleagues and visitors at the churchyard and in the churches.
