ABOUT THE POSITION:
As a Chemical Engineer, you will be part of a team of experienced colleagues with varying backgrounds and specialized expertise. The team works with environmental and sustainability issues and collaborates closely with, among others, EHS coordinators, the R&D department, and external experts in chemistry and regulations related to product development and manufacturing in the automotive industry.
In your role as Chemical Engineer, you will work with a wide variety of tasks. Your work includes handling chemical-related processes and global requirements to ensure that the operations meet relevant international laws, regulations, and frameworks. You will also train design, aftermarket, and manufacturing engineers in applicable guidelines and requirements in the chemistry and materials field.
You will, for example:
Monitor and ensure compliance of the company's chemical handling, governing documents, and products in accordance with EU legislation and other international frameworks.
Define, develop, and implement processes, routines, and instructions related to chemical legislation and regulatory compliance.
Identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations to optimize chemical handling and management.
Conduct assessments and reviews of work methods, including compliance checks against relevant laws, regulations, and industry requirements.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:
Have at least two years of experience working in the chemistry field, for example as a chemical engineer, and experience with chemical handling, chemical legislation, environmental issues, or related areas.
Have a university degree or civil engineering degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials chemistry, or equivalent educational background.
Communicate fluently in English in both speech and writing, as the language is used daily in the work.
It is advantageous but not required if you:
Have previous work experience in a similar role with equivalent tasks.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:
This is a consulting assignment, which means that initially you will be employed by Friday. The ambition from all parties is that the employment, after an agreed period, will transition to direct employment with the client.
