We are seeking a structured and engaged checkout manager for a large ICA store in the Stockholm area. You see opportunities instead of problems and want to work with your team members to contribute to a positive work environment and a well-functioning checkout line. We are looking for someone with previous experience from a similar leadership position in grocery retail, preferably from ICA. You are confident in your leadership and have the ability to motivate, engage, train, and involve your team members. About the Position As a checkout manager, you are responsible for the daily operations of the checkout line and lead the checkout staff in their ongoing work. You will also work in the checkout yourself and report directly to the checkout manager. In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that the department's procedures, working methods, and goals are followed and developed. You ensure that the checkout line is efficient, well-organized, and provides customers with a professional and welcoming overall impression. Your main responsibilities Lead and allocate daily work in the checkout line Support and be responsible for the checkout staff Ensure that procedures and working methods are followed and developed Train, motivate, and engage your team members Work operationally in the checkout Manage reporting and control of daily cash registers Order change and consumable materials We are looking for someone who Has experience working as a checkout manager within grocery retail Has experience leading and developing team members Has good knowledge of store economics Is structured, thorough, and takes responsibility Is open, honest, and clear in your communication Enjoys working both operationally and administratively Has a solution-oriented approach and contributes to a good work environment It is a merit if you have experience from ICA and knowledge of the systems AoB, StoreOffice, and MinButik. Employment The position is a permanent full-time employment that begins with a six-month probationary period.
