We are looking for a structured and engaged checkout manager for a large ICA store in the Stockholm area. You see opportunities ahead of problems and want to work together with your colleagues to contribute to a positive work environment and a well-functioning checkout line. We are looking for someone with previous experience from a similar leading position in grocery retail, preferably from ICA. You are confident in your leadership and have the ability to motivate, engage, train, and involve your team members. About the Position As a checkout manager, you are responsible for the daily operations of the checkout line and lead the checkout staff in their ongoing work. You also work at the checkout yourself and report directly to the store manager. In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that the department's routines, working methods, and goals are followed and developed. You ensure that the checkout line is efficient, well-organized, and provides customers with a professional and welcoming overall impression. You actively work to ensure that the department achieves its set budget and operational goals. The position also includes administrative tasks and regular follow-ups. Your Main Responsibilities Lead and distribute daily work in the checkout line Support and coach the checkout staff Ensure that routines and working methods are followed and developed Train, motivate, and engage team members Work operationally at the checkout Responsible for reporting and reconciling daily cash registers Order change and consumable materials Follow up on results, budget, and department goals Ensure a professional overall impression and high service level We Are Looking For Someone Who Has experience working as a checkout manager/lead in grocery retail Has experience leading and developing team members Has good knowledge of retail economics Is structured, thorough, and responsible Is open, honest, and clear in your communication Enjoys working both operationally and administratively Has a solution-oriented approach and contributes to a good work environment It is meritorious if you have experience from ICA and knowledge of the systems AoB, StoreOffice, and MinButik. Employment The position is a permanent full-time employment that starts with a six-month probationary period.
