Karamellan Café & Restaurang at Drottningholm is now hiring a full-time cashier/shift leader. We're looking for someone who wants to take on greater responsibility in daily operations and enjoys working operatively alongside the team. About the Role: As a cashier/shift leader, you'll be a vital part of daily operations. You'll work actively in the business while leading and delegating tasks during your shift. Your responsibilities include: * Managing daily operations at the register and café * Leading and delegating work during your shift * Ensuring guests receive professional and warm service * Cash handling as well as opening and closing procedures * Counter sales and handling of baked goods, sandwiches, and beverages * Operating the espresso machine and coffee preparation * Training and supporting new staff members * Maintaining high standards in procedures, organization, and service quality * Working closely with the restaurant manager and other supervisors We're looking for someone who is responsible, solution-oriented, and confident in leading others. You need to stay calm when the pace is fast, see what needs to be done, and have the courage to make decisions. We'd love to see that you: * Have previous experience from a café, restaurant, or similar establishment * Have solid cash handling experience * Have experience leading a shift or are ready to take the next step and take on more responsibility * Are organized, stress-resilient, and unpretentious * Have a natural eye for service and attention to detail * Enjoy working in a team and are skilled at motivating others * Speak Swedish and English fluently * Experience with espresso machines and barista work is a plus About Karamellan Karamellan is located in the unique setting by Drottningholm Palace. We meet guests from around the world daily and work with everything from café and restaurant operations to large groups, weddings, parties, and other events. Working hours are mostly scheduled during daytime, but weekend work is included, and evening work occurs during events, weddings, and Christmas dinners.
