We are inviting you to join our team as a Forest Data Management System and Land Management Data Analysis Manager
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting initial, repeated, and continuous forest inventory, submitting data to VMD;
- Developing and updating forest management plans;
- Planning timber harvest volumes, assortments, and locations;
- Managing forest value changes, preparing and publishing updated data in GIS;
- Participating in the creation of the forest data management system (hereinafter "MDPS"), organizing MDPS and related software updates and improvements;
- Developing technical specifications for related procurements and orders;
- Serving as the IT manager for the European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) within the company;
- Providing company employees with information and daily support regarding MDPS;
- Recommending new, innovative solutions for public forest management software development and data collection, participating in their development;
- Coordinating with structural unit representatives to organize communication with information system maintainers and developers regarding forestry and timber harvesting information system development and enhancements.
We expect you to have:
- Higher education in forestry, biology, or environmental sciences;
- Professional experience in forest data management of at least 3 years;
- Forest inventory specialist certification (desirable);
- Category B driving license;
- A1/A3 drone pilot license;
- Competence in remote sensing data and technology application (desirable);
- Strong knowledge of electronic spreadsheets, PostgreSQL relational database queries, and analytics development;
- Expert-level experience with geographic information systems software (QGIS, QField, IntraMaps Roam);
- Competence in external database utilization, integration, and analytics;
- Emotional intelligence and moral resilience;
- Independence in work planning and execution.
