Huskvarna Pastorat is seeking a cantor with primary placement in Hakarp Parish, full-time position. Hakarp Parish has a rich musical tradition and vibrant music program. The position involves primary responsibility for all musical activities in the parish, including services, ceremonies, music services, and other customary church music duties. There is an established and active church choir with approximately 25 members. It is desirable to start a children's choir, given the parish's extensive children's programs with many musically inclined children. Through music, meaningful encounters are created. You will manage and develop the well-established musical work that characterizes Hakarp Parish. The beautiful Hakarp Church, built in the 17th century, has excellent instruments, including a fine two-manual Hammarberg organ. Much parish activity takes place in the modern and functional parish hall. You will be part of the pastorate-wide "Music" team and work with colleagues who have Hakarp as their primary work location. About You As a person, you are confident and have a natural grounding in the Swedish Church's faith and life. You are a social person who naturally connects with others. Joy, stability, and reliability characterize you. Meeting with people is an important driving force for you. You enjoy working with people of all ages and appreciate collaboration with colleagues. You have cantor education. Other Important Information We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Experience working as a cantor can be a merit, and we welcome strong experience leading choirs. You are a member of the Swedish Church. You hold a valid driver's license (Category B) and have access to your own vehicle. The position requires a clean criminal record clearance. Start date is by mutual agreement.
