Valkas novada pašvaldība (Reg. No. 90009114839) invites applications for a Legal Assistant position in the Legal Department (occupation code per Occupation Classifier – 3411 02). Work location: Beverīnas iela 3, Valka, Valkas novads.
Main Job Responsibilities:
monitor and control debtor accounts under the department's supervision;
manage the municipality's debt collection processes;
prepare legal document drafts, including contracts, applications, cover letters, certificates, orders, response letters, etc.;
perform secretary duties for select council-established commissions;
perform other tasks within your competence as directed by the department head.
Requirements for Candidates:
higher education, preferably in legal sciences;
preferred work experience in legal document preparation and drafting;
state language proficiency at an advanced level;
ability to analyze, argue, and interpret legal norms;
strong analytical, organizational, collaboration, and communication skills;
proficiency with electronic document management systems;
high sense of responsibility and attention to detail;
ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
