Söderberg & Partners is now recruiting a driven lawyer interested in working with contract law issues and compliance with a focus on the group's insurance operations. You will become part of the Quality Assurance function at Söderberg & Partners Insurance Consulting AB and work close to the business, on the company's front line. The role is broad and varied. You work both strategically and operationally – from negotiating agreements with insurance providers and customers to building processes, controls and training that make it easy for our advisors to do the right thing. You will have close dialogue with the entire organization and with the company's legal and regulatory units, and a great opportunity to influence how we develop our business going forward. About the role Law and compliance are priority areas for us – they strengthen customer value and the quality of our advisory services. As the company grows in Sweden and the rest of the Nordic region, we are now strengthening our legal and regulatory expertise. In this role, you are the link between business and law. This means you need to understand the business – both to design the processes required and to help the organization adapt its business models to our processes and other regulatory requirements. You identify and assess legal, regulatory and contractual risks and translate business needs into practical, commercially sound and regulatory-compliant solutions. The role includes, among other things: Drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements with customers, insurance providers and partners Providing legal advice on insurance law, insurance distribution, contract law, terms interpretation and claims matters Working with the organization's compliance on the front line – control work, regulatory monitoring and establishing internal process documents and instructions Identifying and assessing legal, regulatory and contractual risks in new and existing business models Driving development of processes and controls and training our advisors We're looking for you who Have an academic degree in law Are commercial and pragmatic – you translate complex legal and regulatory issues into clear recommendations and weigh business benefit against risk Are structured and thorough – you prioritize and manage several parallel tasks while maintaining quality Are driven and solution-oriented – you take your own initiative, work proactively and quickly take on responsibility Are innovative and unafraid – you are positive about change and comfortable challenging established practices and raising risks when needed Are unpretentious and relationship-building – you build trust in the organization and thrive both in teams and working independently Communicate well orally and in writing in Swedish and English Experience from insurance, brokerage, banking, finance or other regulated activities is an asset, as is experience with contract matters or regulations such as FAL, IDD, LFD and GDPR.
