No. 90011524360 invites applications for the position of Chief Legal Counsel for an indefinite period Main job responsibilities: Promote compliance with laws in the Institution's activities and its issued documents; know the regulatory acts in force in the Republic of Latvia, the internal regulatory documents, decisions and orders of Rīga City Council, the Institution's internal regulatory acts and documents; develop the Institution's internal regulatory acts and orders, samples of private and public contracts; organize and implement public procurements and public auctions of the institution, in cooperation with the Procurement Division of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports; prepare draft responses to letters, petitions, complaints and other incoming documents within its competence. When necessary, represent the Institution's interests in administrative and civil proceedings in courts and prepare necessary materials for submission to court. provide legal advice to Institution employees necessary for the performance of work tasks. Requirements for candidates: higher professional education in law; experience in a similar position; state language knowledge at the highest level, good English language skills. Cooperation with foreign partners – embassies, service providers.
