The Social Services Sector includes 4 operations: special housing/municipal health and medical care, individual and family care, ordinary housing/personal assistance, and disability services. Within the disability services area, services are provided according to LSS, the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities, and the Social Services Act (SoL), directed at people with various disabilities. Services are designed to strengthen individuals' ability to actively participate in community life and live and reside in safe conditions, with respect for self-determination and integrity. Group homes/residential support, day activities, short-term housing, and various forms of respite care are some of the support functions. All parties in the chain contribute to qualitative and safe support for people with disabilities. 2 position(s). JOB DUTIES As a support assistant, you work to promote users' participation, independence, abilities, and skills in all respects. The main task is to make everyday life meaningful for our users and ensure they have an existence so they can live a life like everyone else. Staff at the residence shall support users with daily living through individually adapted everyday support. This involves varied work tasks with a primary focus on motivational work and substantial verbal support with cleaning, cooking, and other household tasks. Staff shall also support users in their leisure time and social life. You will be a support person for one or more users, which means you have responsibility for establishing and revising the implementation plan by setting goals and sub-goals together with the user. Needs are continuously adjusted based on operational requirements, which means you will work days, evenings, and weekends. Does this sound like a task for you? QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a positive view of people and strong values. You should have the ability to build good relationships and put yourself in another person's situation, wishes, and needs to work from a user perspective and put the individual's needs at the center. The work requires responsibility, thoroughness, flexibility, confidence, attentiveness, patience, customer service mindset, good teamwork ability, and professional demeanor. You should have completed a nursing program with a focus on support assistant or other training that the employer deems equivalent. You should also have knowledge of low-arousal approaches, clarifying pedagogy, motivational work/approaches, and a good ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical work with the individual user. It is meritorious if you have previously worked with people with epilepsy and/or feeding tubes. You must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. You can work both in groups and independently. Driver's license B is meritorious. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Start date 1/11 or by agreement.
