The Social Services Sector includes 4 operations: special housing/municipal health and medical care, individual and family care, ordinary housing/personal assistance, and disability services. Within the disability services area, services are implemented according to LSS, the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities, and the Social Services Act (SoL), directed at people with various disabilities. Services are designed to strengthen the individual's ability to actively participate in community life and live and reside under safe conditions, with respect for self-determination and integrity. Group homes/residential support, day activities, short-term housing, and various forms of respite care are some of the support functions. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a support assistant, you work to promote the users' participation, independence, abilities, and skills in all respects. The main task is to make everyday life meaningful for our users and ensure they can live a life like everyone else. Staff at the residence support users with their daily living through individually adapted everyday support. This involves varying work tasks with the greatest focus on motivational work and considerable verbal support with cleaning, cooking, and other household chores. Staff also support users in their leisure time and social life. You will be a support person for one or more users, which means you have responsibility for creating and revising implementation plans by setting goals and sub-goals together with the user. Needs are continuously adjusted based on operational requirements, which means you will work both day, evening, and weekends. Does this sound like a task for you? QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a positive view of people and sound values. You should have the ability to create good relationships and to empathize with another person's situation, wishes, and needs in order to work from a user perspective and place the individual's needs at the center. The work requires responsibility, thoroughness, flexibility, confidence, attentiveness, patience, service-mindedness, good collaboration skills, and good interpersonal behavior. You should have completed a care program with a focus on support assistant or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You should also have knowledge of low-arousal approaches, structured teaching, motivational work/approaches, and a good ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical work with the individual user. It is meritorious if you have previously worked with people with epilepsy and/or feeding tubes. You must be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written. You can work both in a team and independently. Driver's license category B is meritorious. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. Start date November 1st or by agreement.
