We are looking for a committed and solution-oriented job coach who wants to work with people covered by activity requirements within financial assistance or others who need support to achieve self-sufficiency. You meet people with different experiences, conditions, and needs. Your New Job Österåker Municipality is now recruiting 2 people to serve as job coaches. You will work closely with participants to identify resources, obstacles, and possible paths toward work, studies, or other meaningful activities. The work is based on the individual's conditions and combines respectful treatment with clear goals, structure, and follow-up. Your duties will include: mapping the participant's competencies, experiences, needs, and conditions developing individually tailored planning together with the participant planning, conducting, and following up on activities within the scope of activity requirements supporting newcomers in their path toward integration, work, and self-sufficiency conducting individual conversations and leading group activities and workshops working in a motivating and supportive manner with people who may face mental, social, or cognitive challenges matching participants with internships, work training, education, and employment creating and maintaining contacts with employers and other collaboration partners collaborating with social services, the Swedish Public Employment Service, healthcare, adult education, civil society, and other relevant organizations documenting interventions and following up on participants' progress and results contributing to the development of the unit's working methods, methods, and activities. Your Profile We are looking for someone who has a college or university degree in social work, human resources, political science, or another field that the employer considers relevant alternatively, other education combined with experience and knowledge that the employer considers equivalent documented knowledge in at least one of the following: motivational interviewing, MI, Supported Employment, or BIP experience working with people outside the labor market, regardless of target group very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing good digital skills and ability to document, follow up, and report on your work. It is an advantage if you have Experience planning and leading groups of participants, employer contacts, matching, and collaboration with social services, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and education providers. We also view favorably experience working with people from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds as well as people facing various barriers to integration, such as mental health issues, social problems, or neurodevelopmental disabilities. Experience in study and career guidance, good knowledge of the labor market and various paths to work and education, and experience seeking external funding are advantageous. Language skills in Arabic, Dari/Persian, Tigrinya, or Swahili are also advantageous. A driver's license (category B) is desirable. To succeed in this role, you need to be good at building trust and professional relationships. You see possibilities and resources in each participant while being clear about responsibility, goals, and expectations. You work in a structured manner and take responsibility for driving processes forward. You enjoy collaboration but can also plan and carry out your work independently. You need to be persistent, solution-focused, and able to maintain focus on the participant's long-term progress. You have a professional approach and are comfortable meeting people in different and sometimes complex life situations. We place great importance on personal suitability. Scope of Employment Full-time, 40h/week Terms of Employment For this role, the starting salary is normally between 37000–43000 kr depending on experience and competence.
