ĢENERĀĻA PĒTERA RADZIŅA PROFESIONĀLĀ VIDUSSKOLA announces a competition for the position of EDUCATION PSYCHOLOGIST Ģenerāļa Pētera Radziņa Professional Secondary School is a state-established educational institution under the Ministry of Defense, whose primary mission is to implement vocational education programs. To learn more about us, visit: https://www.radzinaskola.lv/lv We offer the opportunity to perform responsible and interesting work in a modern educational institution; work location: Skolas iela 5, Malta, Maltas pagasts, Rēzeknes novads; the opportunity to work in a team of knowledgeable professionals; employment for an indefinite period; 0.25 workload (part-time); monthly salary (gross) starting from 375 euro; Main job responsibilities in cooperation with teachers and parents, help students solve problems that interfere with their studies; perform diagnostic and corrective work with students who have learning and behavioral problems; investigate students' intellect, behavior, cognitive processes, interpersonal skills, and personality, using various research methods (for example, observation, interviews, tests); participate in classes and observe how students interact with each other and with the teacher; conduct psychological assessment of the class as a group and research the school's emotional and psychological environment, develop recommendations for educators for more effective work; consult with students individually and in groups on academic matters, personal development, interpersonal relationships, conflict resolution, and other psychological topics; provide information and consultations to school administration, teachers, and parents regarding psychological issues in educational work. Requirements for applicants academic education and professional qualification in psychology (psychologist or practicing psychologist); at least one year of experience in the position of education psychologist; ability to plan and organize work, excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to develop research descriptions in accordance with scientific publication principles; user-level knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; sense of responsibility and accuracy; adherence to professional ethics standards for psychologists; ability to use computer programs necessary for psychological research.
