We are looking for an experienced QA/QC engineer who will take responsibility for quality management on projects in the industrial and power transmission sector (substations, GIS/AIS, energy).
ACS, part of the international 2JCP group, is a dynamically developing company operating in the field of engineering and provision of technical solutions, especially for energy and industrial construction. Together with our teams in Bulgaria, Germany, and Poland, we support renowned customers in the field of switchboard manufacturing, installations, technology commissioning, and system maintenance. We are looking for an experienced QA/QC specialist to join our team. The position includes both strategic setup of QA/QC processes and their practical implementation on projects – including leading inspections, customer communication, and coordination of subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive responsibility for QA/QC on the project (from engineering phase to commissioning)
- Setup and implementation of QA/QC plans, ITP, and control processes
- Leading and coordinating QA/QC activities on the project (including potential team leadership)
- Oversight of compliance with project documentation, technical specifications, and standards (IEC, EN, customer standards)
- Active participation in and leading inspection days, inspections, and customer meetings
- Coordination of internal and external inspections (customer, third parties, certification bodies)
- Approval and control of QA/QC documentation and project documentation
- Management of non-conformances (NCR), root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions
- Cooperation with engineering, production, project management, and subcontractors
- Preparation and approval of handover documentation (quality dossiers, final documentation)
- Oversight of quality during switchboard manufacturing and on-site execution
- Support for FAT/SAT, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities
Requirements:
- Secondary/University education in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in QA/QC in industrial/energy/substation projects
- Demonstrable experience managing QA/QC on projects
- Knowledge of QA/QC processes (ITP, NCR, FAT/SAT, audit processes)
- Excellent understanding of technical and project documentation
- Knowledge of standards (IEC, EN)
- Ability to make independent decisions and take responsibility for project quality
- Communicative knowledge of English (German an advantage)
- Willingness to combine office work with on-site project visits
- Class B driver's license
Advantageous:
- Experience with GIS/AIS projects, HV/MV/LV installations
- Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001) and audit experience
- Experience with DCS/PLC or I&C systems
- Certification in quality, inspection, or audits
