About Kriminalvården Kriminalvården is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now seeking additional staff members. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the cycle of crime. If we succeed, society becomes safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation services, remand centers, and prisoner transportation. Kriminalvården's internal audit function is located at our headquarters in Norrköping and has the task of adding value and proposing improvements to the organization's operations by systematically and structurally evaluating and enhancing the effectiveness of risk management, governance and control, management processes, as well as auditing and evaluating that financial reporting obligations are fulfilled and that laws and regulations are followed. We work on behalf of and report to the Director General. The internal audit function currently consists of a manager and five internal auditors. We are now seeking two additional colleagues to join our team. We are looking for both those who are and wish to develop as internal auditors. This time, we would particularly welcome applicants who either have operational experience from Kriminalvården and/or legal expertise. Job Description As an internal auditor, you will plan, conduct, report on, and follow up on internal audit assignments, which can be of both assurance and advisory nature. You will also continuously identify, analyze, and assess risks and actively contribute to the development of our internal audit plan. You will work both independently and in teams with one or more members of our group. Working unpretentiously together is an important component of our quality work. The role also includes actively participating in the further development of our audit methodology and contributing to the development of our function. In your audit work, you will work proactively to create added value for Kriminalvården and help the authority achieve its goals. We are looking for someone with: • An academic degree in law, economics, social sciences, systems science, or other education in combination with experience that Kriminalvården considers relevant • Several years of work experience in internal or external audit or other investigative or analytical work • Excellent ability to express yourself clearly in speech and writing in Swedish • Experience of working with security awareness and responsibility with sensitive information It is also advantageous to have: • Experience with, for example, IT audit, IT security, IT risk/compliance, IT governance and control, or equivalent • Operational experience from Kriminalvården's activities, preferably as a correctional officer, or other experience with the authority deemed equivalent • Current experience of working at a qualified level with matters concerning risk management, internal governance and control • Experience of working with designing governance and control of organizations at a strategic level • Experience of project management • Experience of working with data analysis • Experience from work in public administration • Certification as an internal auditor (CIA), IT auditor (CISA), or other relevant certification or auditor qualification • Knowledge of audit methodology • Knowledge of government regulations • Good experience presenting to senior management levels • Good experience communicating complex matters in a simple way Other Information Kriminalvården has chosen to remove the personal letter and replaced it with selection questions relevant to the position.
