Your main responsibilities: monitor compliance with environmental protection regulations by conducting on-site inspections in internal waters; supervise compliance with industrial fishing and angling rules, as well as fish resource extraction limits in the sector's supervision territory; conduct inspections of water resource use permit conditions at hydroelectric stations and freshwater aquacultures; prepare documents and administrative acts concerning environmental protection and natural resource use. What we expect from you: compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law; higher education (at least a bachelor's degree), preferably in environmental science, natural sciences, or environmental engineering, but we will also consider applications with higher education in other fields; proven Microsoft Office proficiency; resilient and good physical fitness; Category B driver's license and electronic signature; preference – experience in environmental protection, document preparation in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Latvia, as well as knowledge of environmental protection regulations; preference – recreational vessel master's certificate. Also important is the ability to work in a team and with large amounts of information, make independent decisions within your competence, a high sense of responsibility, and stress resilience.
