The State Labor Inspectorate announces a recruitment competition for a State Labor Inspectorate Inspector civil service position at the Vidzemes Regional State Labor Inspectorate Valmiera sector
(one position for a fixed term – employee absence coverage; work location – Purva iela 12A, Valmiera, Valmieras nov., LV-4201)
The State Labor Inspectorate offers:

a monthly salary of €1250 (before tax) during the probationary period and up to €1420 (before tax) after the probationary period. The monthly salary is determined according to work performance level, the classification of civil service and municipal institution positions established by the Cabinet of Ministers, and taking into account salary groups corresponding to the position, as well as professional qualifications and competencies;

Key responsibilities:
supervise and control compliance with labor law and occupational safety requirements in enterprises within the supervised territory and promote compliance;
review administrative violation cases regarding breaches of labor law and occupational safety requirements in accordance with the Administrative Liability Law and make decisions on imposing administrative penalties, as well as monitor the correct and timely execution of penalty decisions;
review and respond to submissions, complaints, and suggestions from individuals and legal entities in accordance with the Petition Law;
investigate workplace accidents;
consult employers and employees on labor law and occupational safety requirements.
Requirements for candidates:
compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law;
higher education (preference for candidates with education in law or occupational safety);
desirable practical experience and knowledge of labor legislation and occupational safety;
state language proficiency at the advanced level;
ability to work under high-intensity conditions;
excellent communication, planning, and control skills;
good skills in working with MS Office applications;
category B driver's license and ability to drive an automobile with manual steering;

For candidates who obtained education abroad, a document confirming the academic recognition of the education in Latvia must be attached.
