State Labor Inspectorate announces a competition for the position of State Labor Inspector in the Valmieras Sector of the Vidzeme Regional STATE LABOR INSPECTORATE civil service position (one position; indefinite term; workplace – Purva iela 12A, Valmiera, Valmieras nov., LV-4201) State Labor Inspectorate offers: a friendly team; interesting and dynamic work; the opportunity to contribute to ensuring compliance in the field of labor rights and working conditions; to gain experience in the application of labor law, occupational safety, and laws regulating administrative procedures; monthly salary of €1250 (before taxes) during the probation period and up to €1420 (before taxes) after the probation period. Monthly salary is determined in accordance with the level of work performance, the classification of positions in the State and Municipal Institutions Job Catalog as established by the Cabinet of Ministers, taking into account the corresponding monthly salary groups, as well as professional qualifications and competencies; extensive and professional training opportunities; health insurance after 3 months, as well as other additional motivation tools in accordance with work results; support for work and family balance, including flexible working hours and the opportunity to work partially remotely. Key job duties: to monitor and control compliance with labor law and occupational safety regulatory requirements in enterprises within the supervision territory and to promote ensuring compliance; to review administrative violation cases regarding breaches of labor law and occupational safety regulatory requirements in accordance with the Administrative Liability Law and to make decisions on imposing administrative penalties, as well as to control the proper and timely execution of the administrative penalty decision; to review and provide responses to submissions, complaints and suggestions from individuals and legal entities in accordance with the Submissions Law; to investigate workplace accidents; to advise employers and employees on labor law and occupational safety regulatory requirements Requirements for candidates: compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law; higher education (preference given to candidates with education in law or occupational safety); desired practical experience and knowledge in labor legislation and occupational safety; State language proficiency at the highest level; ability to work under high-intensity conditions; excellent communication, planning and control skills; good skills in working with MS Office applications; Category B driver's license and the ability to drive a vehicle with a manual transmission system; Documents to submit: a motivated application letter in which we ask you to describe your compliance with the stated requirements; CV; copies of educational documents. For candidates who obtained their education abroad, a document on the academic recognition of education in Latvia must be attached.
