Are you a leader whose team is motivated by creating business results through both strategic and operational procurement work? With us, you'll get to develop procurement operations and create business value in significant infrastructure projects. We have a strong market position and operate a broad portfolio of exciting and socially important projects within land, road, and construction. We're now facing a future with major investment initiatives within our strategic growth segments: water treatment, hydropower, and electricity distribution. The department has approximately 40 ongoing projects. Some of the larger and current projects include: - Forshuvudforsen in Dalarna, where a hydroelectric power plant is being renovated to meet future energy needs, - Mon Water Treatment Plant in Gävleborg, a new drinking water facility that secures access to clean water - Kungsängsverket in Uppsala, where an existing wastewater treatment plant is being expanded to meet future demands for sustainable water management. The Role as Procurement Manager As procurement manager, you are responsible for the procurement function within the department. You lead and further develop strategic procurement work and coordinate and follow up on operational procurement work. An important part of the assignment is to develop the procurement team's skills and ensure that the function has the right conditions to contribute to the department's goals. You work closely with the project, production, and bid organizations, with a clear focus on early stages, business phase, and bid phase. The role also includes responsibility for framework agreements and parts of operational procurement work in selected projects. Together you create the best possible conditions for successful and profitable projects. You are involved throughout the procurement process, from supplier dialogues and negotiations to contract review, contract signing, and follow-up. You ensure that our procurement agreements comply with NCC's guidelines and requirements. Since many of our projects are carried out in collaboration form, you also work closely with our customers to create value and achieve common goals. You have six project procurement managers to assist you, based in different locations within our geography. You lead, support, and develop employees so they can carry out uniform and business-focused procurement work with high quality. You report to the department's Specialist Manager and are part of the department's management group, where you are expected to actively contribute to the department's development and success. In addition, you are part of a network with other procurement managers within both the division and business area where experience exchange and collaboration are a natural part of everyday work. About Civil Middle Department The department is part of the Infrastructure business area, which has approximately 320 employees. We operate within land and construction from design and construction to production. Operations are organized in several work groups and are conducted in Uppsala, Gävleborg, Dalarna, Västmanland, Södermanland, and Örebro counties. Your Profile as Procurement Manager To succeed in the role, we see that you have relevant higher education combined with several years of experience in both operational and strategic procurement, preferably from the construction or building industry. Experience in construction law or work in complex contract and project environments is meritorious. It is meritorious if you have experience from a leading procurement role, but you could also have a background as a strategic procurement manager, project manager, or another role where procurement issues have been a central part of your responsibility. You enjoy negotiation situations and work with a long-term business perspective. The goal is to create sustainable business arrangements that benefit NCC, the customer, and our suppliers. By developing, driving, and implementing procurement strategies, you contribute to strong business relationships and efficient collaboration with the supplier market. As a person, you are communicative, clear, and engaging. You build trust and engagement through a coaching approach and contribute to developing both employees and procurement operations. Additional Information The position is a permanent employment with a placement location at one of the department's offices in Uppsala, Västerås, Gävle, Borlänge, or Örebro.
