Together with Blomsterboda, we are seeking a Purchasing Manager for their Supply department.
Blomsterboda's Supply department is responsible for planning and optimizing purchasing, assortment, campaigns, and volume planning to ensure an attractive and profitable offering to Blomsterboda's customers. The work is conducted in close collaboration with sales, warehouse, logistics, and suppliers and places high demands on forward planning, analysis, and business decision-making. The Supply department currently consists of 17 employees distributed across different areas of responsibility – purchasing, administration, assortment, campaign, and forecast and volume planning.
The Purchasing Manager will have overall responsibility for the purchasing function, including personnel responsibility for a purchasing team of four people. The role combines operational, strategic, and development-focused work and carries a clear responsibility to drive both daily delivery and long-term improvement of working methods and structure.
The role combines a strong commercial focus with strategic development responsibility and clear leadership. The emphasis lies in developing purchasing strategy, strengthening commercial approach in supplier work, and ensuring that the purchasing function contributes to increased profitability, improved margins, and long-term business development.
The role is tasked with ensuring efficient and commercially sound purchasing by leading and developing the purchasing function, making well-founded business decisions, and driving the development of working methods, processes, and governance. The role also carries clear leadership responsibility for creating engagement, developing employees, leading change, and promoting good collaboration both within Supply and across functions in the organization.
We are looking for someone who is confident and clear in your leadership, commercially minded, responsible, and delivery-focused. We also want you to be unpretentious and willing to work closely with operations.
To be suitable for the role of Purchasing Manager at Blomsterboda, we require at least five years of experience in strategic and operational purchasing with responsibility for supplier negotiations, price and cost optimization, and development of purchasing processes. Documented experience in personnel management, team and employee development, and leading change and development work. We also want you to have experience from industries and larger operations with fast-moving flows and high turnover, such as retail and/or grocery. If you have previous experience working with multiple stakeholders, complex flows, and cross-functional collaboration, we see that as a positive for the role.
Post-secondary education in economics and/or purchasing, good knowledge of Swedish and English, as well as very good system proficiency and experience working in business systems, Excel, and Power BI or equivalent, are required.
