About the Job
The Power Trading Operations department optimizes Jämtkraft's own electricity production and is responsible for 24/7 operational management. The department also handles remote control and operational monitoring of our power stations, water reservoirs, and electrical grid.
As an Operations Engineer at Power Trading Operations, you will work with production planning, power trading, management of our power balance, and control and monitoring of power facilities. You will have operational responsibility and gain unique expertise in how the electricity market is structured and functions. You will become an expert in operating wind and hydroelectric power production. The work involves shift work in our operations control center, which is staffed around the clock.
Who Are You?
You should have a technical university degree in electrical power or energy engineering. We appreciate if you have experience from similar work, but we also welcome newly graduated candidates—we will provide you with strong support in your new role.
You should be thorough, action-oriented, organized, and able to work under time pressure. The work involves many contacts, both internal and external, so strong communication skills are valued. You speak and write Swedish and English and have a general technical interest.
