POSITION OFFERED Data Management Department Data Management and Coordination Division Manager (permanent employment position) Your main responsibilities: Lead the division's work, set priorities and task distribution, ensure task completion, and promote the team's professional development; Ensure implementation, monitoring, and improvement of a unified data management policy at the institution; Organize and coordinate data acquisition, use, and circulation, including cooperation with data holders; Ensure data lifecycle management and development, implementation, and monitoring of data quality control processes; Manage and develop metadata, data catalog, and statistical classification systems, including KLASIS; Participate in information system development, implementation, and testing by formulating data structure, metadata, and classification requirements; Develop and maintain data management documentation and provide methodological support to the institution's structural units. Our requirements: Academic or second-level professional higher education in computer science; At least one year of experience in a management position or project management; At least two years of experience working with database management systems and practical experience in data processing; Knowledge of data management principles, data architecture, data lifecycle, data acquisition, integration, processing, and analysis; Knowledge of metadata management, data catalogs, classifications, and coding systems; Good knowledge of MS SQL or PostgreSQL and Python programming skills for data processing; Understanding of legislation in the field of this position relating to Latvia, the European Union, and international regulations, as well as drafting legal acts in state administration; English language knowledge at least B level (oral and written) for working with international methodology and documentation; Ability to lead and motivate a team, set priorities, and take responsibility for results; Very good collaboration, communication, argumentation, and presentation skills, initiative, and analytical thinking. Salary before taxes EUR 2999 to EUR 3528 (depending on previous work experience and qualifications).
