INFORMATION SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Job responsibilities include:
ensure optimal performance of computer hardware and software, as well as local computer network for the Investigation Training Center's user needs;
ensure data systems security and protection of information contained within;
research and provide recommendations for implementing innovative solutions to improve criminal procedural and criminalistic activities;
organize the work of the Innovation and Technology Group;
organize informal education programs related to IT solutions and analytical work for law enforcement agency employees;
provide technical and consulting support to users.
Education, professional experience, knowledge and skills required for the position:
Second-level professional higher education (fifth professional qualification level) – law, civil and military defense, education sciences, management and administration, mathematics, data science or information technology;
at least 3 (three) years of experience performing information systems administrator, data or systems analyst duties in law enforcement agencies;
knowledge of information technology systems development and maintenance;
understanding of law enforcement agency employees' professional development needs, field development trends and issues;
ability to solve complex (non-standard) information technology problems, analyze their causes and recommend appropriate solutions;
additional requirement of foreign language knowledge for the performance of job duties.
knowledge of information processing programs and systems used in the State Police related to issues addressed by job responsibilities.
