We are now seeking tomorrow's stars for industry! We are looking for a dedicated smelter/caster who wants to be part of the heart of production at our customer in Ljungby. Here you will have a central role in the process from scrap to finished steel – work that requires both precision, planning ability, and close collaboration with colleagues. About the role As a smelter/caster, you work in a team with a colleague in the smelting plant and are an important part of a cohesive work team in the foundry. The work involves close collaboration with casters, management, and the quality department to ensure that the smelting plan is followed with the highest quality and minimum possible deviations. Your areas of responsibility Operate the process from scrap to molten steel Ensure the condition of smelting furnaces and perform operator maintenance Plan work in the smelting plant and report on target achievement Order scrap deliveries and manage alloying materials Perform sampling in spectrometer Dismantle and tamp furnaces and participate in inventories Work according to established safety procedures Your profile We are looking for someone who has a structured work approach and the ability to plan your workday well.
