Working as a residential assistant at Inagården is largely practical milieu therapy work. This includes working toward established treatment goals, documenting, listening, and providing support to residents through professional interaction. You will assist them with daily tasks to create a functioning daily rhythm and motivate them to engage in activities such as outdoor time, exercise, swimming, cooking, and daily occupations.
Our Approach At Inagården HVB, we work from a relational and milieu therapeutic perspective where relationship, security, and participation are central. We use everyday situations as tools for learning and development, focusing on creating stability, self-awareness, and new strategies for each individual.
In our work, we use clarifying pedagogy and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), which means we adapt the environment, routines, and communication based on each person's needs. Through clarity, structure, and individual support, we create predictability and security – particularly important for people with neuropsychiatric disabilities.
We also work with Ett Självständigt Liv (ESL), which strengthens residents' knowledge and skills to increase independence in daily life.
A low-arousal approach permeates our entire operation. By meeting individuals with calmness, respect, and understanding, we create security even in challenging situations and provide space for recovery and reflection.
At Inagården Tärnsjö, there is also an opportunity to work with animals as part of the treatment work, where our horses Cassie and Uno contribute to calmness, responsibility-taking, and relationship-building.

About You:
We are looking for someone with good interpersonal skills, a positive view of people, and a genuine interest in working with others. As a person, you are clear, stable, can set boundaries, and be a good role model in both words and actions. You have good collaboration skills, great patience, and take responsibility in your work. You can work flexibly and take initiative. You must be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish, as this is important in documentation. You need good ability to cooperate in groups of both colleagues and residents. We would like you to have previous experience working with this target group.
You must have a 2-year post-secondary education in social pedagogy, treatment pedagogy, or similar.
