An official is a person with appropriate professional education, qualifications and special service rank who has taken an oath and serves in the Administration. The rights and duties of officials are determined by the Correctional Facilities Administration Law and the Service Procedure Law for Officials with Special Service Ranks of the Interior Ministry System Institutions and the Correctional Facilities Administration. Vacancy: Senior Inspector (contact person), Resocialization Department, Iļģuciems Prison, 5413 02 Employment: Full-time Salary: from 1795 EUR Work location: Correctional Facilities Administration Iļģuciems Prison – Tvaikoņu iela 3, Riga, LV-1007 Contact information: 67290152; 67290148, [email protected] Send CV and motivation letter to: [email protected]; [email protected] Requirements for candidates: Compliance with requirements specified in the Interior Ministry System Institutions and Correctional Facilities Administration Officials with Special Service Ranks Service Procedure Law: Latvian citizen; Age 18 to 50 years; At least first-level professional higher education; Latvian language proficiency level C level 2; Physical fitness meeting Cabinet of Ministers requirements (Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 288 of 28.05.2013 "Physical Fitness Requirements for Interior Ministry System Institutions and Correctional Facilities Administration Officials with Special Service Ranks"); Health status and psychological characteristics meeting Cabinet of Ministers requirements (Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 970 of 21.11.2006 "Regulations on Health Status and Psychological Characteristics Required for Interior Ministry System Institutions and Correctional Facilities Administration Officials with Special Service Ranks and Candidates for Official Positions and the Procedure for Examining Health Status and Psychological Characteristics"); Not convicted of an intentional criminal offense – regardless of record expungement or removal; Not sentenced for an intentional criminal offense with conditional release; Not prosecuted for committing an intentional criminal offense, except where the official was prosecuted but criminal proceedings were terminated on rehabilitative grounds; Not declared legally incapacitated in accordance with the law; Not dismissed from service in the Interior Ministry System or Correctional Facilities Administration due to disciplinary dismissal; Good computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel); Ability to plan and organize work, perform assigned tasks in priority order; Good communication skills, high psychological resilience; Ability to work both in a team and individually; High sense of responsibility, analytical thinking, ability to work under high-intensity conditions. Duties: Inform detainees of their rights and obligations; Conduct individual resocialization work with detainees; Organize recreational activities for detainees; Review submissions, suggestions, complaints and reports on resocialization matters, prepare responses; Assess risks and needs of convicted persons, develop resocialization plans and ensure their implementation; Prepare documents for assessment commissions and courts regarding convicted persons' participation in planned resocialization activities and results achieved; Review disciplinary case materials of detainees and provide recommendations on applicable sanctions; Ensure supervision of convicted persons and compliance with internal regulations (conduct personal and premises inspections and searches, escort convicted persons within and outside the correctional facility territory, ensure supervision of detainees during resocialization activities, participate in prisoner count verifications).
