An official is a person with appropriate professional education, qualifications and special service rank who has taken an oath and serves in the Administration. The rights and duties of officials are determined by the Correctional Facilities Administration Law and the Service Law of officials with special service ranks of the Interior Ministry system institutions and the Correctional Facilities Administration. Vacancy: Senior Inspector (Contact Person), Resocialization Department, Olaine Prison, 5413 02 Employment: Full-time Salary: from 1795 EUR Work location: Correctional Facilities Administration Olaine Prison – Rīgas iela 10, Olaine, LV-2114 Contact information: 67290152; 67290148, [email protected] Send CV and motivation letter to: [email protected]; [email protected] Requirements for candidates: Compliance with the requirements set out in the Interior Ministry system institutions and Correctional Facilities Administration officials with special service ranks Service Law: - Latvian citizen; - Age 18 to 50 years; - At least first level professional higher education; - Latvian language proficiency level C 2nd degree; - Physical fitness meets the requirements set by the Cabinet of Ministers (Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No.288 of 28.05.2013 "Physical Fitness Requirements for Officials with Special Service Ranks of Interior Ministry system institutions and Correctional Facilities Administration"); - Health status and psychological characteristics meet the requirements set by the Cabinet of Ministers (Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No.970 of 21.11.2006 "Regulations on Health Status and Psychological Characteristics Required for Officials with Special Service Ranks of Interior Ministry system institutions and Correctional Facilities Administration and candidates for official positions and the procedure for examining health status and psychological characteristics"); - Not convicted of an intentional criminal offense – regardless of deletion or removal of the conviction; - Not sentenced for an intentional criminal offense with exemption from punishment; - Not prosecuted for committing an intentional criminal offense, except in cases where the official was prosecuted but the criminal proceedings against them were terminated on a rehabilitating basis; - Not declared incapacitated in the manner provided by law; - Not dismissed from service in the Interior Ministry system or Correctional Facilities Administration due to being subject to disciplinary action – dismissal from service; - Good computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel); - Ability to plan and organize own work, perform assigned tasks in priority order; - Good communication skills, high psychological resilience; - Ability to work both as a team member and independently; - High sense of responsibility, analytical thinking, ability to work under increased intensity conditions. Duties: - Inform inmates of their rights and obligations; - Conduct individual resocialization work with inmates; - Organize leisure activities for inmates; - Review submissions, suggestions, complaints and reports on resocialization matters, prepare responses; - Assess the risks and needs of convicted persons, develop a resocialization plan and ensure its implementation; - Prepare documents for the assessment commission and court on the convicted person's participation in planned resocialization activities and results achieved; - Review inmate disciplinary case materials and provide recommendations on applicable punishment type; - Ensure supervision of convicted persons and compliance with internal order (conduct personal and premises inspections and searches, escort convicted persons within and outside the correctional facility territory, ensure supervision of inmates during resocialization activities implementation, participate in inmate roll calls).
