An official is a person with appropriate professional education, qualifications, and special service rank, who has taken an oath and serves in the Administration. The rights and duties of officials are determined by the Correctional Facility Administration Law and the Service Regulations for Officials with Special Service Ranks at the Interior Ministry System Institutions and the Correctional Facility Administration. Vacancy: Rīgas Centrālcietums Supervision Department Specialist, 5413 08 Position Type: Full-time Salary: from 1545 EUR Workplace: Correctional Facility Administration Rīgas Centrālcietums – Mazā Matīsa iela 5, Rīga, LV-1009 Contact Information: 67290140; [email protected] Send CV and motivation letter to: [email protected]; [email protected] Requirements for Candidates: Compliance with requirements set out in the Interior Ministry System Institutions and Correctional Facility Administration Service Regulations for Officials with Special Service Ranks: Latvian citizen; Age 18 to 50 years; At least secondary education required for the position; Latvian language proficiency at level B1; Physical fitness must comply with requirements set by the Cabinet of Ministers (Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 288 of 28.05.2013 "Physical Fitness Requirements for Officials with Special Service Ranks at Interior Ministry System Institutions and the Correctional Facility Administration"); Health status and psychological characteristics must comply with requirements set by the Cabinet of Ministers (Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 970 of 21.11.2006 "Regulations on Health Status and Psychological Characteristics Required for Officials with Special Service Ranks at Interior Ministry System Institutions and the Correctional Facility Administration and Candidates for Such Positions and the Procedures for Health and Psychological Characteristic Examinations"); Has not been convicted of an intentional criminal offense – regardless of conviction expungement or removal; Has not been convicted for an intentional criminal offense with exemption from punishment; Has not been prosecuted for an intentional criminal offense, except in cases where the official has been prosecuted but the criminal proceedings were terminated on rehabilitating grounds; Has not been recognized as lacking legal capacity in the manner prescribed by law; Has not been dismissed from service in the Interior Ministry System or the Correctional Facility Administration due to disciplinary dismissal; Strong communication skills, high psychological resilience; Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
