Physical Education Teacher & After-School Program Teacher

Svalövs Montessori is seeking a physical education teacher for grades F-3 and to work in our after-school program. At Mellanskolan, we have grades F-1, 2-3, and 4-5, plus two after-school divisions. For our younger students, we strongly believe that joy in movement is the foundation for learning, good health, and enthusiasm for school. In our after-school program, we prioritize creativity, movement, and experiences. Mellanskolan has 120 students, with approximately half attending after-school care. The school spans three floors and is staffed by 5-4-3 educators plus student support services. We are looking for you—someone with experience in physical education instruction and a passion for development work in after-school settings to help maintain high-quality after-school care in line with curriculum guidelines, Montessori pedagogy, and our team. We seek someone who is trained as a primary school teacher, after-school program teacher, or youth leader/recreation supervisor. You need both an organizational mindset and several years of experience in educational work with children ages 6-11. Your perspective on movement, physical education, and the after-school program as both an important complement to the school day and vital for physical development and learning should align with ours. It is desirable that you have worked within a Montessori setting, hold Montessori certification, or have otherwise engaged with and have knowledge of this pedagogy. Svalövs Montessori has existed since 1976 and is today a clear alternative with a positive approach to experience-based learning. We are an economic association—a parent cooperative—with no profit extraction. We currently serve over 270 children from preschool through upper secondary school.
