At Migrationsverket, we work on one of our time's major societal issues – migration. We are approximately 6,000 people in total, and we have an unusually important job! Our agency and the entire migration sector in Europe are facing major changes. In Sweden, we are now building the physical environment to support a newly reformed reception system. This includes new reception centers, increased detention capacity, and adapted offices – from Boden in the north to Malmö in the south. Migrationsverket does not own any properties but leases all premises. To succeed, we need to strengthen our organization with more employees who want a varied and responsible role with many contact points in a dynamic work environment. We work with continuous improvements and ongoing learning, and place great emphasis on both competence and personal suitability. What does a Rental Law Expert do? As an expert in rental law, you are responsible for the agency's lease agreements regarding premises rentals. In this role, you have broad contact with both Migrationsverket personnel and external landlords. Your work tasks include: Negotiating contract terms for acquiring new administrative facilities, detention centers, and reception and return centers Renegotiating existing premises lease agreements Rental law advisory services, handling terminations and case management in rental boards Preparing negotiation materials in dialogue with project managers Review and negotiation of premises lease agreements as well as analysis of rental data and costs Market assessments and decision-making documents before and after negotiations Participation in developing and managing the premises supply process Who are you? We are looking for someone who is structured, independent, and goal- and results-oriented with the ability to plan and organize work efficiently toward set goals and deadlines. You have strong language and analytical skills, are commercially minded, and have good collaboration abilities, which enable you to handle different interests and contribute to constructive solutions. We would appreciate if you have a genuine commitment to issues concerning facilities and lease negotiations. As a civil servant, you also need to have good judgment and high security and confidentiality awareness. You have Academic education in law of at least 120 credits, or other education combined with experience that the employer deems equivalent Several years of experience working with premises lease agreements and lease negotiations for facilities Good knowledge of rental law and negotiation techniques with a focus on facilities Good communication skills and express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish Good knowledge of the Office package It is advantageous if you have Experience in advisory services within commercial rental law Experience with property law issues within the premises area Experience working in project tools Antura or equivalent Experience with premises supply within state operations Information Employment type: Permanent employment with probation period Working hours: Office working hours Placement: Norrköping, Gothenburg, Malmö, or Stockholm Start date: As agreed Application Welcome to submit your application documents by October 7, 2026.
