At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of our time's major societal issues – migration. In total, we are approximately 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job! Our agency and the entire migration area in Europe are facing significant change. In Sweden, we are now building the physical environment to support a new reformed reception system. This includes new reception centers, increased detention capacity, and adapted offices – from Boden in the north to Malmö in the south. The Swedish Migration Agency does not own any properties but rents all premises. We work with continuous improvements and ongoing learning, and place great emphasis on both expertise and personal suitability. What does a Rental Law Expert do? As an expert in rental law, you are responsible for the agency's lease agreements regarding office space rentals. In this role, you have broad contact with both Swedish Migration Agency personnel and external landlords. Your work tasks include: Negotiating contract terms for the acquisition of new administrative offices, detention facilities, and reception and return centers Renegotiating existing office lease agreements Rental law advice, handling lease terminations and case management with rental boards Preparing negotiation materials in dialogue with project managers Review and negotiation of office lease agreements and analysis of rental data and costs Market assessments and decision-making materials before and after negotiations Participation in development and management of the premises supply process Who are you? We are looking for someone who is structured, independent, and goal- and results-oriented with the ability to plan and organize work efficiently towards set goals and deadlines. You have good linguistic analytical ability, are business-minded, and have good collaboration skills, which means you can handle different interests and contribute to constructive solutions. We would appreciate it if you have genuine engagement in matters concerning facilities and lease negotiations. As a civil servant, you must also have good judgment and high security and confidentiality awareness. You have Academic training in law of at least 120 credits, or other training combined with experience that the employer considers equivalent Several years of experience working with office lease agreements and lease negotiations for premises Good knowledge of rental law and negotiation techniques with a focus on premises Good communication skills and express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish Good knowledge of the Office Suite It is meritorious if you have Experience in advising on commercial rental law Experience with real estate law issues within the premises area Experience working with project tool Antura or equivalent Experience with premises supply within state operations Information Employment form: Permanent employment with probation Working hours: Office hours Placement: Norrköping, Göteborg, Malmö, or Stockholm Start date: By agreement Application Welcome to submit your application materials no later than October 7, 2026.
