Hardware Engineer with Systems Focus

Megger's HW design team, which develops and maintains the hardware of our products, is now looking for a hardware engineer with systems focus.
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced hardware engineer who wants to join our HW design team and take full responsibility in both development and maintenance projects. With us, you will work broadly within your role and be involved throughout the entire product lifecycle – from architecture and design decisions to improvements, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
Your responsibilities will include, for example, system architecture, electronics design, development of design specifications, concepts and principle solutions, verification/testing, troubleshooting, and technical investigations. You will also work on further development of existing products and ensure long-term sustainable solutions.
You will collaborate with various functions such as software development, mechanical design, product management, procurement, and production, and will progressively take on greater responsibility for technical overall issues.

You have at least 5 years of experience in hardware development and work with electronics design, analog and/or digital. You are confident in your technical foundation and curious about taking greater overall responsibility for the system. You learn new systems quickly, see connections, and drive your work forward. To succeed in this role, we would like you to have:Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience as an electronics designer for embedded systems
You are familiar with applicable standards and directives in the technical field such as LVD and EMC
You are accustomed to working in a lab environment and enjoy hands-on work
Understanding of systems perspective or drive to take greater systems responsibility
Ability to work both independently and with others
Very good knowledge of both English and Swedish, spoken and written
Meritorious Competencies/ExperienceExperience or drive to deepen knowledge in systems integration, requirements management, and technical coordination
Commitment to understanding problems in depth and ensuring sustainable solutions
Experience and drive to further develop existing solutions
Practical experience with schematics and layout in Altium Designer and/or OrCAD
Interest in and experience with advanced testing and measurement equipment in power systems
