You will lead a regional procurement of patient monitoring systems for multiple hospitals, from initial needs assessment through handover to operations management.
About the Client
A large public healthcare organization in the Stockholm region will procure a new patient monitoring system. The procurement is regional and covers both major acute care hospitals and smaller hospitals.
Requirements will be developed together with representatives from multiple hospitals, various professions, and support functions. The goal is an agreement that creates value for operations and patients over the long term. The client wants the role staffed externally to ensure independence and impartiality.
About the Role
You will become the lead project manager and the coordinating link between the healthcare facilities, the procurement function, and decision-makers. The role is both leadership and operational. You lead the project and actively participate in the work.
You will join at an early stage and follow the work from startup through the entire procurement and handover. After that, the operations management organization takes over and implements the system at each hospital.
The assignment is expected to run for approximately three years. This suits you if you have led procurements under LOU previously, enjoy bringing together many perspectives, and want to see the requirements you develop become an agreement that stands the test of time. The role requires that you are independent from patient monitoring system vendors.
What You Will Do
Develop and manage project plan, timeline, budget, and resource plan for the procurement
Lead a cross-functional project team with participants from multiple hospitals and business areas
Plan and lead meetings, workshops, and decision forums
Prepare clear decision-making documents for the steering group and management
Coordinate requirement gathering and ensure needs and requirements are documented in a structured and traceable manner
Work with risks, dependencies, and deviations, and replan when circumstances change
Communicate continuously with all stakeholders about status, risks, and decisions
Prepare a structured handover to operations and implementation
